Discovering a week of Greek tastes and culinary treasures at the Berlaymont cantine

From 20 to 24 April, Greek mythical tastes from different Greek regions will be offered at the EU Berlaymont cantine in collaboration with the non-profit association A Discovering Network asbl. This initiative takes place for a second year and it is under the auspices of the Embassy of Greece in Brussels, and with the support and collaboration of the Greek Tourism Organisation (EOT). Superb ingredients and simple cooking under the direction of Chef Prineas will create daily culinary masterpieces: experience the pleasure of Greek gastronomy in the heart of the EU Institutions for five days only.
Quality traditional ingredients of the Greek diet include olive oil, whole grains, honey, vegetables, fruit, dairy products, seafood and more white meat than red. Therefore, the Greek diet is quintessentially Mediterranean and as such, a part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, “a great contribution to the World, for the population’s health, quality of life and well being.”
Combined with an active life style, the traditional Greek diet promotes longevity, boosts the immune system, and reduces the likelihood of obesity and chronic diseases.
Enjoy a true treasure of Europe's culinary heritage from the 20-24 April.
Bon Appetite- Kali Orexi!
